PointPark Poznan wins Green Building Award, 2011

WARSAW, POLAND | EUROPAPROPERTY “BREEAM APPLICATION IN-PROCESS AWARD” FOR POINTPARK POZNAN

On November 30th, EuropaProperty held a Green Building Awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw, Poland. PointPark Poznan, the logistics and industrial park of PointPark Properties (P3) won the GREEN Building Award in the category BREEAM application in-process. The Green Building Awards presentation featured past, present and future projects, which have been recognized as sustainable developments. This award was given to development projects certified as ecological buildings according to the international BREEAM or LEED rating.

The Park and specifically DC3 which was constructed as a 23,000 sqm Build-To-Suit project for the company PF Concept, contains for example ecologically efficient solutions, such as solar panels that save up to 40% of the annual energy cost for heating water, ecologically efficient lighting which lowers annual operating expenses by 15%, and high-efficiency heating saving 15% of gas consumption for heating of office and social areas.

“We are really happy to have received this achievement. At P3, we offer our tenants green solutions as a standard feature for existing and Build-To-Suit projects. Our goal is to decrease the operation costs and to help save our environment. The Green Building Award for PointPark Poznan just confirms how highly effective these solutions are.
